Support At Home Packages

How do Support At Home Packages work, and how do I get one?

If you are over 65 yrs and are experiencing health or aged related decline in your ability to do the things you used to be able to do at home you may be eligible for some support!

Home care packages are funded by the Australian Government - your first step is to call My Aged Care to register and request an assessment. At your assessment you will be assessed to see If your health issues are significant and your ability to manage at home has declined,  you may be deemed eligible for a Support at Home Package to assist you with your clinical needs and supports at home.

You may be expected to contribute to the cost of your care, moving forward and this amount will depend on your financial situation - you will need to complete an Income and Asset assessment through Services Australia. Your contribution fee will be capped.
