After decades spent keeping busy first as an electrical supervisor for major shopping centers and later as a government training consultant. Jim was used to taking charge and staying active. But as the years went on, Jim and his wife Val recognised that living safely and comfortably in their Moreton Bay home meant finding someone who could provide them with a bit of extra support.

Over the past year, Kirstie has done exactly that, growing in leaps and bounds in ways that have inspired every single one of us.

A devoted father, grandfather, partner, and true pillar of our local community, Jason is a familiar, smiling face to many. When he isn’t out on the road supporting our participants, you’ll likely find him at home with his two beloved dogs or packing up the gear for another camping adventure exploring the Australian bush.
At 36, he is a man of incredible milestones. As a dedicated Special Olympics athlete, Shaun has represented Queensland and Australia for 13 years, achieving 190 medals across sports including Football, Cricket, AFL, and Athletics. From Athens to Brazil, his sporting journey has taken him across the globe, but his greatest achievements are the ones he is winning right here at home as a proud father of two.
